Bologna, 9th April 2003 - Datalogic S.p.A., a company traded on the Nuovo Mercato (New Economy) of the Borsa Italiana S.p.A. (Italian Stock Exchange), which designs and manufacturers bar code reading systems, achieved Euro 31 million sales revenues in the first quarter of 2003, a growth of 7% compared to the Euro 28.88 million recorded in the same period of the previous year.
As a result of these sales figures, the company estimates that it will close the first quarter of 2003 with a higher profit than forecast and than the results of the previous year.
The meeting of the Board of Directors to approve the quarterly figures has been set for 12th May 2003.
